Peter Dale, the chef at in downtown Athens, has been nominated for Food & Wine magazine’s The People’s Best New Chef award.

If you haven’t eaten at this extremely wonderful restaurant, you need to save your sheckles and go experience interesting, beautiful, delicious food.  It’s a blend of the countries and cuisines that interest the chef—traditionally Mediterranean—with what’s available seasonally in from farms in Northeast Georgia.

“The National really is a combination of my interests in cooking, travel and food politics,” Dale said. “We serve food inspired by my favorite cuisines: Spanish, French, North African, Greek, eastern Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern.”

So, c’mon, Athens, show the love.
