DOT Crews to Work Overnight Resurfacing Roadway

The Georgia Department of Transportation plans to work this week on resurfacing Atlanta Highway from SR10 Loop to the Minor Street.

Work is scheduled nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting, and all lanes of US 78/SR 10/Atlanta Highway/West Broad Street from SR 10 Loop to Minor Street will be resurfaced. The section of roadway was last resurfaced in 2001. 

This 3.8 mile long project was awarded to C. W. Matthews Contractor of Marietta for a contract cost of $2,497,503.93. The planned project completion date is Sept. 30, 2013.
