GDOL will help Georgia-Pacific recruit technicians next week in Athens

ATLANTA -- The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Georgia-Pacific
Corporation fill a number of jobs Wednesday, Dec. 11, in Athens. The company is
recruiting experienced electrical and mechanical maintenance technicians to
work in an industrial facility in Morgan County.



The recruitment at the GDOL’s
Athens Career Center, 150 Evelyn C. Neely Dr., will consist of two one-hour
informational and interview sessions from 12 noon until 2 p.m. The sessions
will have a 30-minute presentation about available jobs and the work
environment and will be followed by applicant interviews.  



Applicants must have at
least 12 months of work experience and have a high school diploma or a General
Education Diploma (GED). Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
