    Sunnybank FIlms, an independent non-profit film



    production company located in Watkinsville, GA., presents their new documentary LIFE THE GRIOT:





  • The United States of America tragically



    imprisons more of its citizens than any other nation in the world. The



    majority of those incarcerated are young people held for non-violent



    crimes. Young males of color, often facing discrimination by law



    enforcement and the judiciary, are jailed in significantly



    disproportionate numbers. This film is the story of one man's efforts to



    stem this tide.  This is the story of Lemuel LaRoche, known to the



    Athens community as "Life the Griot".
