Summer Hill Splash and Dash

The USAT Youth Splash and Dash Aquathlon Series hosts 40 events as part of the nationwide series. We are thrilled to have one of those events right here in Oconee County, Georgia, hosted by USA Triathlon & Summer Hill Recreation Center. The goal of our event is to introduce youth ages 6 to 18 to the world of multisport. This is a beginner-friendly event with a focus on participation. Age group awards will be presented.

SAME DAY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE. Participants will receive t-shirts, finisher medals and healthy post race snacks. This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and follows the "age up" rule. Participants race they age they are on 12/31/2013 so a 6-year-old who turns 7 in September races as a 7-year-old.
The race will take place at the Twelve Oaks facility at 1030 Twelve Oaks Circle, Watkinsville, GA 30677 and consists of an indoor pool swim followed by an age-appropriate run within the Twelve Oaks subdivision. The course will be monitored by Oconee County police and event volunteers. Juniors ages 12 & under will swim 100 yards and run 1k (.625 miles); Seniors ages 13-18 will swim 200 yards and run 2k (1.25 miles).

The cost is $20.00 for USAT Members; $30.00 for Non USAT Members (price includes one day USA Triathlon membership fee). Ample parking is available adjacent to the event.

Event schedule and times:
Onsite registration and packet pickup will be available from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Summer Hill Recreation Center at 1030 Twelve Oaks Circle, and on race day from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. Please pick up your race packet on Friday if possible to cut down on participant traffic race day.

Transition will open at 1:30 p.m. on race day and will close promptly at 2:45 p.m. The Senior division (13-18) will begin at 3:00 p.m. and the Junior division will start immediately after the Senior division has cleared the pool.
