The JFK Assassination 50 Years Later: What We Know Now

On the eve of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the Athens-Clarke County Library presents, "The JFK Assassination Fifty Years Later: What We Know Now," a lecture by UGA Professor Emeritus Donald E. Wilkes, Jr. Wilkes, who has authored scholarly publications about this event, will discuss some of the circumstances he has researched, the facts we know today, and some yet unanswered questions. The lecture will take place in the library's Appleton Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, and is free and open to the public. The lecture will be recorded and archived at www.boomersinathens.org. This program is made possible by a leadership grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services called The Boomers: Reflecting, Sharing, Learning, awarded to the Athens Regional Library System and Lyndon House Arts Center. For more information, call the Library at 706-613-3650.
