'Be Green Fest' Features Hands-On Learning About Environment

The event is hosted by Barrow Elementary School on April 8.

Barrow Elementary School in Athens hosts “Be Green Fest” Tuesday, April 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It’s described as an interactive festival with hands-on opportunities to learn about the environment and how to care for it.

Among the groups participating: 10 University of Georgia schools/colleges, Barrow Elementary student groups, seven Athens-Clarke County department government participants and 10 local agencies and businesses.
