Job Opportunities with the Athens-Clarke County Library

Part-time young adult/audiovisual department assistant— Provides readers advisory and information services to patrons of all ages, with a specific emphasis on services for teens. Directly assists with the planning and presenting of programs to teens. Provides computer assistance to all patrons and oversees the teen and family computing area. Organizes and re-shelves teen and audiovisual materials, among additional duties. 

Public services desk assistant/shelver — Requires working four hours each Saturday covering public services desks. The employee in this position may work at the Information Desk, Heritage Room, Children’s Area, Teen Area, and/or Technology Desk providing reference and computer assistance to library patrons.

Adult services coordinator — Supervises adult information services areas of the library, including reference services, readers advisory, local history/genealogy and computer assistance to the public. This position plans, develops, implements and evaluates the projects, programs and activities of Reference Services and the Heritage Room. This position will also investigate, recommend and implement technology products and innovations to meet emerging needs.
