If you’re like me, you’ve been waiting for the start of the 2013 college football season since January. Now, we are finally less than six weeks away from a brand new season.
The 2013 season officially begins on Thursday, Aug. 29, with 17 games. Two of those games involve SEC teams: South Carolina vs. North Carolina and Vanderbilt vs. Ole Miss. Eight games are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 30, and then the season begins in earnest with a full slate of games set for Saturday, Aug. 31, including a 5:30 p.m. matchup between defending national champion Alabama and Virginia Tech.
