$165 Worth of Beer Stolen from Publix

The information in this story comes from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

A man made off from Publix with a lot of beer on Sunday, according to an Athens-Clarke County Police report.

A store representative told officers the man came into the Publix on Barnett Shoals Road and took $165 worth of beer. Police didn't say how he got the beer out of the store.

The man then left in a Chevy Lumina. Police believe it to be connected to another crime committed earlier in the week.
