Air Conditioner Units Stolen at Athens Apartments

Air conditioners were recently stolen from two Highland Park Drive residences after a supicious man was reported in the area, according to an report.

A property manager from Delta Realty told police on Tuesday that tenants on Highland Park Drive had reported a suspicious man "lurking" around the back of a few of the units.

When the property manager sent maintenance workers out to check on the units, they found air conditioning units missing at two of the locations. They also saw a man matching the description of the suspicious person in one of the buildings. The man ran out the back of the building when he saw the workers coming, but left clothing and a debit card, according to the report.Β 

The property manager told police that each AC unit will take about $1850 to replace.Β
