Arrest Made in Lombardy Circle Homicide
Melvin Lewis Brown was charged in fatal shooting of Javious Tucker on Feb. 2.
Athens-Clarke County Police have arrested and charged a man with murder in a Feb. 2 homicide on Lombardy Circle, called the first of the year in the county.
According to Clarke County jail records, Melvin Lewis Brown Jr. of Athens faces charges of murder, aggravated, possession of weapon by a convicted felon and violation of probation.
He is accused of shooting to death Javious Tucker in the 300 block of Lombardy Circle. The Red & Black reported Brown was taken into custody in Gwinnett County on Wednesday, three days after the shooting.
