BATTERY 

A Warren Street man said while at a Simmons Street residence a male began “fighting” him. He sustained injuries to his head and face. EMS responded and transported him to Athens Regional Medical Center. He gave no explanation as to why he was at the residence or why the male attacked him. It is unclear if he knew the suspect. This occurred around 9:10 p.m. June 8.

BURGLARY 

A 16-year male reported his Firewood Court residence burglarized between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. June 8. A game system, controller, and cell phone with a total value of $450 were stolen.

A Ramona Road residence was burglarized between 3:45 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. June 8. Although furniture had been overturned, the resident could not find anything missing at this time.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE 

A vacant Lexington Road residence was damaged between 12 p.m. June 6 and 10 a.m. June 8. Windows were broken out, an air conditioner was damaged, and walls had holes in them.

THEFT BY TAKING 

Two Asian mountain tortoises valued at $1,500 were stolen from a Sunset Drive residence between 7 p.m. June 6 and 1:10 p.m. June 8.
