Athens Man Arrested on Charges of Child Molestation

An Athens man was arrested on several felony charges for allegedly molesting two girls, one of them 8 years old, when he lived in the same house with them.
According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, Edwin Bernardo Osorio faces two counts each of child molestation and sexual battery, and one count of aggravated sexual battery. He is alleged to have kissed and sexually fondled the two children while living in the same house with them.
Police started an investigation after a woman living in the house told them she believed Osorio had molested them, the story says. The investigation culminated with his arrest on Wednesday. The case was bound over the Superior Court, the story says, after a municipal judge said she's not authorized to set bail.
