Man Beaten, Robbed at Girlfriend's Athens Home

Police say a woman returned to her Zebulon Drive residence to find missing electronics.

A man responding to a knock on the door at a Zebulon Drive residence was rushed by several strangers who took a video game system and television, according to a media release from Athens-Clarke County Police.

A woman told police she returned home on Monday to find her boyfriend on the floor bleeding from his lip. He said he was awakend by knocking, and when he opened the door a man was standing with his back to the door. When he opened the screen door, he was rushed and a fight ensued.

The boyfriend told police he believed four men were involved with the robbery. The stolen electronics were valued at $446.
