Athens Man Indicted for Child Exploitation

The Cottage Sexual Assault Center and Children's Advocacy Center helps any child who has been sexually exploited, assaulted or abused.

Jeremy Wayne Beck is accused of having digital images of boys engaging in sexual acts with each other and with adults, as well as other depraved acts involving children, a few of whom were girls.

According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, Beck was indicted on 20 counts of child exploitation last May and was arrested Friday in Appling County, where he has some connections.

Beck was living on Mary Collier Road in Athens when the indictment was issued, the story says. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest in June, and authorities in Baxley picked him up last week, then turned him over to Clarke County deputies.

He was booked into the jail on Friday. He is being held without bail.
