Athens Teenager Attacks His Grandmother Over iPhone Dispute

The grandmother told police the 14-year-old boy has anger issues.

A 14-year-old boy found someone else's iPhone in a jacket he took from his school's lost and found. When his grandmother took the phone from him, intending to return it to the school, the teenager became enraged.

According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, the boy choked and hit his grandmother. He ended his attack when other children in the home pulled him off the older woman.

The grandmother called 911 around 9pm on Wednesday, the story says. She told police the boy has anger issues. He was charged with charged with simple batter, battery and terroristic threats or acts, and he was held for a juvenile court detention hearing, the story says.
