Athens-Clarke PD: Burglars Take Items Worth Thousands
Fishing equipment, money and beer among items listed as stolen in 3 burglaries reported April 22.

BURGLARY

- Between 8 a.m. April 1 and 12 p.m. April 22 a storage shed at a Brookstone Drive residence was burglarized. A trimmer, air compressor, saws, and fishing equipment valued at $1,425 were stolen.
- A South Arcadia Drive residence was burglarized between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. April 22. A DVD player, TVs, safe deposit box, and various papers were stolen. The total value was $1,413.
- A Sunny Hills Drive residence burglarized was between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. April 22. Cash, a TV, photograph, and beer were stolen. The total value was $1,690. A suspect was named.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
- Between 11 a.m. April 21 and 8 a.m. April 22 the tires on five vehicles parked at The Connections Apartments, 255 The Preserve Drive, were slashed. There are no suspects at this time.
THEFT BY TAKING

- An Athens mans reported $400 and a 2001 Honda XR100R stolen from his South Poplar Street residence between 12 p.m. April 19 and 4:10 p.m. April 22. The dirt bike is red in color and valued at $700. A suspect was named.
