Athens-Clarke Police: 2 Men in Car Started Fight with Pedestrian

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

  • Between 4 p.m. April 19 and 12:44 a.m. April 21 an attempt was made to enter a Rumson Road residence.
BATTERY
  • An officer met with an Oakhill Drive resident at Athens Regional Medical Center. He said that as he was walking around midnight April 21, two black males in a Toyota Corolla approached him. They asked what he was doing. He said he told them to “keep moving.” The males exited the vehicle and started to fight him. After several minutes, the man said he ran to his residence and the males left in the vehicle. He called a friend to take him to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries to his face and hands. He was unable to give a description of the vehicle or suspects.
BURGLARY
  • A Brickleberry Ridge residence was burglarized between 5 p.m. April 20 and 1 a.m. April 21. A video game system, laptop, TVs, and jewelry valued at $2,510 were stolen.
