Burglar Seen Walking Down Street Carrying TV, Later Arrested

Police found the TV stashed in the bushes.

ARRESTS

  • Around 11:15 a.m. April 14 officers responded to an alarm at a Club Drive residence. Upon arrival, they found a broken window. The resident arrived and, after officers cleared the residence, went inside. He advised a TV, laptop, and computer monitor valued at $850 had been stolen. Officers searched the area for suspects. A call was received that a subject was walking down Deer Creek Drive carrying a TV. It was determined where the call originated and officers went to that location. Contact was made with the resident. While talking with her, an officer saw a partially covered TV hidden behind the bushes near the front door. The investigation revealed two suspects and contact was made with them. After questioning, Keyondre Jamari Howard, 17, Deer Creek Drive, and Franklin Bernard Goss, 17, Vincent Drive, were arrested and charged with burglary.
  • Officers responded to a call of damage to property in progress at Rivers Edge Apartments, W Broad Street, around 12:40 a.m. April 15. The caller advised a female was damaging a vehicle parked in the lot and also advised another female was in a black SUV. Just before officers arrived, the call said the vehicle had left the scene. A responding officer made contact with the vehicle a short distance from the scene and stopped it. Another officer located the damaged vehicle that had scratches to the body and flattened tires. Contact was made with the owner, who advised the damage was new. He also advised a radio/TV touch screen valued at $1,000 had been stolen. After questioning, the females in the vehicle were arrested. Lashunda Curry, 25, Broad Acres Ct, and Nikita Gail Bishop, 26, Chalfont Lane, were charged with entering auto and criminal damage to property.
