Burglary and Aggravated Assault on Christmas Eve

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

A woman reported that her residence on Hwy. 29 North was burglarized sometime between 3pm and 6pm on the 24th. Items taken include three rings valued at $900, two necklaces valued at $800, two pair of earrings valued at $400, and approximately $1,500 in cash.  

A woman reported that between 10pm and 10:10pm on the 24th James Martin assaulted her with a firearm at her residence on Magnolia Street. Police contacted the victim, Martin and witnesses. After interviewing all involved individuals, police arrested James Martin and transported him to the Clarke County Jail.

A woman reported that sometime between 7pm and 8pm on the 24th she was assaulted with a knife at a residence on Chalfont Drive by her husband, from whom she is separated. Officers did not have any contact with the offender or witnesses.
