State House Candidate Carter Kessler's Magnetic Car Signs Stolen

Campaigners for Republican Carter Kessler (R), who's running for the 118th House of Representatives seat against Spencer Frye, reported that magnetic car signs were stolen Monday, according to an Athens-Clarke County Police report.

The campaigners told police that two magnets had been stolen off one of their cars at about 4 p.m. while they talked to people in the neighborhood. The car was parked at the corner of Lakeland Drive and Lakeland Place.

They also told police that Kessler's signs have previously been damaged by people writing derogatory names or slurs on the signs. No suspects were named at this time.
