Cookout Included Food and Lacerations for One Guest
The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.
On July 14 at 1:30am, police officers arrived on New Hope Drive in response to someone calling police to complain about loud noise.
Officers saw numerous people attending a cookout at a house on New Hope Drive. An officer knocked on the door, and saw several people arguing while standing around one man.
When the officer finally got their attention, one 21-year-old man told the officer he had been stabbed. He sustained lacerations on his chest and right arm.
After further investigation, a suspect was identified, but he left the scene before the police arrived. A description of the vehicle that the suspect was driving was broadcast.
An officer stopped the vehicle and detained the suspect. Otis Gene Riden, 43, 1877 Washington Street, Jefferson, GA, was charged with Aggravated Assault.
