A handicapped woman said she was attempting to cross Epps Bridge Road in her motorized wheel chair around 845 p.m. on September 8. She was approached by a male known to her and two other males who acted as if they were going to help her cross the road. Instead, they pushed her out of her chair and removed $30 from her pocket. This was not reported until September 9.

On September 9 members of the Drug Task Force Unit, along with officers from the Crime Emergency Unit West, executed a search warrant at 1282 Hull Rd. A quantity of powder cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, Schedule II prescription drugs, cash, handguns, one of which had been reported stolen in Madison County, and an assault rifle were seized. Arrested and charged were Antonio Bishop of Conyers, Travis Callaway, Athens, and Rasheed Scott of Athens. They were charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a felony. Scott was also served with outstanding warrants. Aaron Hitchcock of Athens was Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.

Diehl, 37, homeless, was arrested in the Mandy Dr/Martin Luther King, Jr, Parkway area around 10 p.m. on September 9. Around 10:40 p.m. Angela Marie Ray, 42, os Fourth St, was arrested in the Marlin St/Strickland Ave area. Angela Dawn Harvey, 33, Honeysuckle Lane, was arrested just after midnight in the Strickland Ave/Madison Heights area.

Officers responded to an assault on Hickman Dr. Upon arrival they discovered the victim had already been transported to Athens Regional Medical Center. Contact was made at the hospital with the victim, who said he had been stabbed in the chest by an unknown, light-skinned black male. This occurred around 0230 September 10. The investigation continues.

A Lexington Heights residence was burglarized between 9 p.m. on September 8 and 10:20 a.m. on September 9. A TV valued at $700 was stolen.  

A Fourth St residence was burglarized between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on  September 9. Sixty dollars cash was stolen.

Between 0800 April 24 and 0800 May 5 a Hawthorne Ave storage unit rented by AMBERLY EMERY of Berlin St was burglarized. Dishes, a tea pot collection, kitchen items, yearbooks, Christmas decorations, camping equipment, and a lock were stolen. The total value was $1,875. This was reported on September 9.

A Firewood Street residence was burglarized between 3:15 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. on September 9. A video game console and controller valued at $300 were stolen. A suspect was named.

A Hull Rd residence was burglarized between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on September 9. Food items and a video game system were stolen. The total value was $400.

A Winterville Road  esident reported that a TV valued at $600 was stolen from his home between midnight and 2:50 a.m. on September 10. The TV was valued at $600.

A vehicle owned by a Statesboro resident was entered between 2:30 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. on September 9 while it was parked at a South Milledge Ave location. Two thousand eight hundred dollars cash was stolen.
