Burglaries abound.

 An officer met with Jerry Willoughby of Sir Scott Rd at Athens Regional Medical Center.  He was being treated for a stab wound to his arm and minor lacerations to his other arm.  After an investigation, LaToya Tawana Willingham, 31, Rose Hill Dr, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.  This occurred around 10 p.m. on May 18.

Van Green, 65, was riding east on a bicycle along Jefferson River Rd around 3 p.m. on May 18. A Chevrolet truck passed, striking him with the passenger side mirror and knocking him to the ground. He was transported to St Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  No further description was given of the truck or its driver.  

 The Westchester Dr. residence of Latonia Evette Hinton was burglarized between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on May 18.  Clothing, shoes, and a watch with a total value of $140 were stolen.

 Between 1115 and 1500 May 18 the Woodridge Cir residence of Jennifer Lynn Garcia was burglarized.  A DVD player valued at $100 was stolen.  Possible suspects were named.

 Matthew Duncan Jennings reported his Venita Dr. residence was burglarized between 7 a.m. on May 18 and 12:45 a.m. on May 19. DVDs and video games valued at $171 were stolen.  A possible suspect was named.

 Between 7 p.m. on May 17 and 6:30 a.m. on May 18, copper pipes valued at $3,000 were stolen from Whitehead Road Elementary School, 500 Whitehead Road.
