The following information was supplied by the Athens-Clarke police department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Members of the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 535 North Peter Street on June 9. Christopher Hemphill, 20 and 31-year-old Roderick Johnson lived there. The officers found hand guns, a quantity of marijuana, digital scales, packaging paraphernalia, and computer equipment were seized. Assistance was provided by the Burglary Suppression Team. The two were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.

 A resident of Burkland Lane reported that he house was broken into between 6:40 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on June 9. An Xbox and TVs with a total value of $1,200 were stolen.

 A Smokey Road residence was burglarized between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on June 9. Stolen were a TV, a TV/DVD combo, a VCR, a stereo and jewelry, valued at $1,200.

 Between 9 p.m. on June 7 and 6:30 p.m. on June 9, a North Bluff Road residence managed by Athens Real Estate Group was burglarized. Thieves stole copper piping valued at $550. Drywall sustained about $1,000 in damage when the copper was removed.  

 Someone reported that his house on Sir Matthew Road was burglarized between 5 p.m. on June 8 and 10:30 p.m. on June 9. A DVD player valued at $90 was stolen. A possible suspect was named.

 Between noon on April 27 and noon on May 3, copper writing valued at $7,995 was stolen from Athens Church, 10 Huntington Road.

 Air conditioner units valued at $1,000 were stolen from Hughes Supply, 1430 North Chase Street, between 1 a.m. and 1:20 a.m. on June 10.
