Members of the Drug Task Force seized a number of marijuana plants at 520 Scarlet Oak Dr. Eddie Tucker was was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Marijuana.  He was also served with outstanding probation violation warrants out of Clarke County

Sheldon Jermaine Hancock, of Athens, was travelling on US Hwy 29 in a school zone when an officer utilizing speed enforcement equipment observed him travelling above the speed limit. After a traffic stop, the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After an investigation, Hancock was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent-Marijuana; Giving False Information; Speeding; and Suspended/Revoked License.

Some time between October 2 and October 3 at 4:45 p.m.,  someone entered a Cedar Shoals Drive residence and removed several items. Total value is $70.

Some time between October 3 at 8 a.m. and October 4 at 4:30, person(s) unknown entered the concession building at Holland Youth Sports Complex at 250 Vincent Dr. Items were strewn about and it is unknown at this time what, if anything, was taken.

A motorcycle, a 1987 Yamaha red, was taken from a residence on Jefferson River Rd. Value is unknown.

A car owner reported that someone entered his vehicle while it was parked at his residence on Bridgewater Way and removed a sub-woofer; a ported box; an amplifier; a battery capacitor; and a DVD/CD player with a total value of approximately $2,900.
