An officer on patrol saw a man walking in the middle of the roadway on Thomas St at Clayton St around 10:10 pm on September 14, disregarding vehicle traffic. As the officer talked with the man, he smelled a strong odor of marijuana. When the officer searched the man, he found a pill bottle which contained a marijuana bud. A search of the man’s backpack revealed a large glass jar of marijuana. Benjamin Stanley Begner, 22, Springtree Rd, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Pedestrian in Roadway.

A Water Oak St residence burglarized between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on September 14. A TV and cash, with a total value of $1,200, were stolen. A suspect was named.

Between 6 p.m. on September 13 and 8:45 a.m. on  September 14, Classic Auto Service, 1510 Commerce Rd, was burglarized. Nothing is known missing.

A Viking Court residence was burglarized between 4:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. on September 14. A video game system with controllers and game was stolen. The total value was $650. A possible suspect was named.
