Members of the Drug Task Force responded to the pharmacy at Rite Aid, 1190 Prince Ave, to a complaint of a prescription forgery. Upon arrival contact was made with Holly Worley and Erin Martin, of Cumming. They were charged with Obtaining Controlled Substances through Fraud. Cash, a laptop, printer, Oxycodone, forged prescriptions, and other items related to the illegal manufacture of false prescriptions were seized. The investigation continues.

Around 3:30 p.m. on August 18, an officer saw a truck towing another truck on Oglethorpe Avenue turn onto the 10 Loop. He saw several traffic violations and made a traffic stop. It was determined the vehicle being towed, a 1965 Ford F550, had been stolen from a Vaughn Road location. It was owned by a woman in Nicholson. After questioning, the occupants were arrested. William Richard Burger, 41, North Main Street, Christoper James Summer, 47, Old Bishop Rd, Bishop, and Christopher Brian Fattig, 35, Tallassee Rd, were charged with Theft by Taking. Burger was also charged with Driving Unsafe/Improperly Equipped Vehicle, Light/Flag on Projecting Load, Brake Lights/Turn Signals Required, and Tow Trucks/Special Lighting Required.

Around 9 a.m. on August 18 a neighbor saw a black male and black female approach the front of a Trail Creek Street residence. The man busted out a window. When the neighbor yelled at them, they ran off toward the park. Officers arrived within a few minutes but were unable to locate the suspects. Both were described as teenagers, 5’8”, skinny, wearing t-shirts and dark shorts.

Between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on August 18, a College Circle residence was burglarized. A TV and lap top with a total value of $3,600 were stolen.

Two women heard a noise in their Springdale Street residence between 10 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. on August 17 but did not think much of it. One went to get some photos she had left beside the front door. The photos were not there. She opened the door and saw the light from a flashlight cross ahead of her. She also heard noises coming from behind the residence as if someone was walking. This was not reported until around 3:40 p.m. on August 18.
