Members of the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 478 Arch Street on August 23. A quantity of crack cocaine, digital scales, packaging material, and cash were seized. Arrested were Nicholas Head, 20, Arch St, Janateous Cooper, 22, River Chase Dr, Fredrico Purnell, 24, Burkland Dr, and Anthony Williams, 41, Fairview St. All were charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute.
Around 3:10 p.m. on August 23 the School Resource Officer at , 1300 Cedar Shoals Drive, was advised of a fight involving two students in the gym. Both were escorted to the office. School administrators searched them and a pocket knife was located on one student. The 15-year-old was detained and transported to the Sheriffβs Office for transport to YDC. He was charged with Possession of a Weapon on School Property.
A Holman Ave residence was burglarized between 2 a.m. and 6:35 a.m. on August 23. A watch valued at $500 was stolen.Β

Between 12 noon on August 20 and 9 p.m. on August 23, a North Avenue shop was burglarized. Stolen wee a CD player, a boom box, flashlights, and two way radios stolen. The total value was $230.
The 14-year-old victim said while in a restroom at , 350 S Milledge Ave, he was approached by three black males who demanded money. When they discovered he had no money, they took his cell phone valued at $150. One suspect wore a black shirt with fluorescent letters and a black bandanna wrapped around his fist. The second suspect was tall and wore a red shirt. The third suspect wore a blue shirt. This occurred around 12:20 p.m. on August 23. The incident is being investigated.

Between 6 p.m. on August 22 and 8:30 a.m. on August 23, a metal door, battery and tin/aluminum were stolen from behind , 1170 Mitchell Bridge Road. The total value was $1,150.
Air conditioner units were stolen from two Westchester Circle residences between midnight and 7 a.m. on August 23. The total value was $2,000. Officers were unable to make contact with the owner.
A resident of Kara Drive reported that an air conditioner unit valued at $1,700 was stolen from a Westchester Circle residence between 3 p.m. on August 22 and 11:10 a.m. on August 23.
Between 2 p.m. on August 20 and 5 a.m. on August 23, air conditioner units valued at $2,000 were stolen from Howell Way properties managed by Pridgen Enterprises of Hull.
