Around 8 p.m. on September 12 an officer saw a vehicle with an expired tag. He attempted to make a traffic stop at North Ave and Old Hull Rd. The driver continued to Dogwood Apartments on Old Hull Rd and pulled in the lot. He opened the door and jumped out as the vehicle continued rolling. The driver fled on foot and the vehicle struck the side of a building. After a brief foot chase, the offender was apprehended at nearby Knollwood Apts. A search of the area where the offender was located revealed a bag containing small bags of a green leafy substance and pills later identified as Endocet and Vicodin. Octavius Shante Whitehead, 34, Bailey St, was arrested and charged with Criminal Damage, three counts Drugs not in Original Container, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I/II Drug, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule III/IV/V Drug, Reckless Conduct, Obstruction, Hit and Run, Unregistered Vehicle, and Driving on a Suspended License.

A North Bluff Road residence was burglarized between 1 p.m. and 4:20 on September 12. Jewelry and tool boxes valued at $350 were stolen.

A Hilltop Road residence was burglarized between 9:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on September 12. A TV, laptops, and a hard drive were stolen. The total value was $2,350.

Between 3 p.m. on September 5 and 9:45 a.m. on September 12 an air conditioner unit valued at $2,000 was stolen from a Merlin Dr residence owned by Pridgen Enterprises on Piedmont Road in Hull.
