Crime Blotter--a wreck and burglaries

A Colbert man was riding a 2002 Yamaha Chappy, heading north on Highway 29 North in the left lane. The motorcycle struck the concrete median that divides the north and south bound lanes. It continued north and went down and slid across the right north bound lane and came to rest on its left side, facing south. The rider was ejected from the vehicle.  He was transported to Athens Regional Medical Center. No citations have been issued in this accident which occurred around 5:45pm on May 28 as the investigation continues.  

A North Ave residence was burglarized between 4:30pm and 5pm on May 28. A TV valued at $250 was stolen.

A resident of Old Princeton Road reported that a laptop, a game console and a tool container were stolen from her former Onyx Pl residence between 8pm on May 27 and noon on May 28. The items were valued at $1,620.
