Crime Blotter--arrests and stealing

On April 18 members of the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 898 #305 West Broad Street (Travelodge Inn). A quantity of Carisoprodol, morphine, oxycodone, and Alprazolam were seized.  Kirsten Jones, 23, Nashville, TN, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II Drug.

 Around 2:20pm on April 18 ,an officer on patrol saw a vehicle being operated without headlights during inclement weather.  A traffic stop was made on Gaines School Road near Lexington Road.  As the officer stalked with the driver, she smelled an odor of marijuana.  When asked for his license, the driver said he did not have it with him.  He provided a name and date of birth.  A computer check had no one with the information he provided.  During this time he was very nervous.  It was determined he gave false information and was arrested.  During a search of his person before the arrest, the officer found a small bag of marijuana in a jacket pocket as well as an ID card.  A computer check on the person on that card revealed he had a suspended license.  During a search of the vehicle, additional marijuana was found in the trunk.  Jemiah Jadante Brown, 27, Park Ridge Drive, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, DUI/Drugs, Giving False Information, Suspended License, and Headlights Must Be On. 

 An officer on patrol on Sir Scott Road saw a man standing outside a residence around 4;30am on April 19.  As the officer turned around to investigate, the man walked off. The officer stopped him and asked why he was there. He said he was there to visit a friend. Due to past problems in the area the officer put the man under investigative detention and placed him in his vehicle. While checking the residence, the officer looked in the windows and saw no signs of anyone living there. The male could provide no information on the  friend he was suppose to be visiting. Jamarius Diontra Watkins, 19, Berlin Street was arrested and charged with Loitering/Prowling.

Around 10am on April 18 officers responded to an alarm at a Burkland Lane residence. The residence was cleared and no one was located inside. The resident said he could find that nothing was missing. 

Between 9pm on April 17 and 8:55am on April 18 a Hull Road residence was burglarized. Copper pipe valued at $2,000 was stolen.  

A man reported that his vehicle was entered between 3am and 9:30am on April 18 while it was parked at his Ridgeview Drive residence. A laptop valued at $1,000 was stolen.
