Crime Blotter--Assault and Robbery, More Theft

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

A man from Harve Mathis Road reported that he was assaulted and robbed by individuals known to him. He said that on October 5 around 12:30, he was picked up by his friend/suspect and suspect’s girlfriend. He said they visited several friends and later went to McDonalds on Prince Ave. After they left McDonalds and were driving down Newton Bridge Rd, he questioned the suspect about where they were going and the suspect replied that he would take the man wherever he wanted to go. The suspect then grabbed the steering wheel of the car and forced the driver (the suspect’s girl friend) to turn onto Saxon Woods Drive. The suspect then turned around and reached into the backseat and struck the victim several times in the face with a handgun. The man said the suspect then pulled him out of the backseat of the car and onto the ground where the suspect took the man's money. The suspect then got back into the car and left going north on Newton Bridge. The suspect was named in the report.
