An officer met with a woman from  Hickman Dr at a Lexington Road convenience store.  She advised while she had been at a Dunwoody Drive residence she and Kandra Joanna Smith were arguing.  The argument became physical and Smith pushed the woman into the walls.  The woman said Smith also grabbed her by the throat and  removed $51 from her person.  She sustained scratches to her neck and chest.  Smith arrived while the officer was talking with the woman.  After the officer talked with Smith, 22,  she was arrested and charged with Robbery and Battery.

An officer met with a man from Barnett Shoals Road at Police Headquarters on April 19.  The man reported an armed robbery that occurred around 11:40pm on  April 17.  He said he and a friend and three others  were outside a Barnett Shoals Road residence.  A male walked up and asked for a cigarette.  The first man said as he was getting a cigarette for the stranger, three or four other men rushed out of the shadows.  One pointed a rifle at them.  They were told to get on the ground and empty their pockets.  The first man said he was seated at the time and one suspect grabbed him in a choke hold.  The first suspect removed a cell phone, cash and a wallet, total value $410, from him.  The friend had a cell phone valued at $150 stolen.  When a neighbor came out, the suspects fled on foot.  The first man said he heard a car start up close by and he ran to the road and saw two vehicles leaving.  One was possible a 2004/2005 silver Toyota Celica, the other was an older SUV, possibly a dark blue mid-90’s Ford Explorer of Jeep Cherokee.   The investigation has revealed possible suspects and it continues.
