Crime Blotter--burglaries galore.

Officers had contact with a 24-year-old man who said he was at a party at Athens Gardens Apartments when he observed a black male attempting to break into a friend’s vehicle. The man stated he walked over and pushed the male away and told him to stop. At that time the male and several others began to punch the man, who doesn’t remember anything after that. He stated that a phone and cash were taken from him.

Officers responded to a Magnolia Street residence in reference to a burglary. A neighbor called police. Entry was made by breaking a window. A TV is the only item known missing.

Officers responded to a Lavender Road residence in reference to an aggravated assault. Two brothers were involved in a heated argument when one stabbed the other in the side.

Officers responded to a Tall Tree Road residence in reference to a burglar alarm. Upon arrival, officers located an open window, an open door, and a screen on the ground. Nothing is known to be missing.

Officers responded to a Cedar Shoals Drive residence of a 37 year old man in reference to a burglary. Unknown persons kicked in the front door to gain access. A TV and Xbox 360 were taken.

Officers responded to a Little Street residence in response to a burglary. A friend located a broken back window used to gain access. A TV, PS2 video game and laptop computer were taken. 

Property management located a burglary at a Little Street residence. An unsecure sliding door was used to access the residence. Nothing is known to be missing.

Officers located a burglary at a Bray Street residence. A window was forced open to gain entry. Nothing is known to be missing but the residence was searched.

Officers responded to a West Broad Street residence in reference to a burglary. The sliding door was unsecured. Pots, pans, silverware and a vacuum cleaner are missing.

On Christmas, officers responded to a strong arm robbery at the Shell Food Mart on Tallassee Rd. The suspect was inside the store with the clerk (his girlfriend), who was counting cash. The suspect grabbed cash and ran out of the store.
