Crime Blotter--Drugs and burglaries

Around 6:15pm on May 7 an officer saw a vehicle being driven without a valid license plate.  A traffic stop was made at Kathwood Drive and Newton Bridge Road.  As the officer talked with the driver, he noticed that all occupants seemed nervous.  After a second officer arrived, he saw the front seat passenger drop an object out tof he window.  The officer retrieved it and found it to be a wrapper containing a green leafy substance.  The passenger was removed from the vehicle and placed in handcuffs.  The leafy material field tested positive for marijuana and the male was arrested.  A search of his person revealed a plastic bag containing 30 individually wrapped bags of a green leafy substance.  This substance also field tested positive for marijuana.  Rodarius Favors, 19, Old Lake Dr, was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. 

A Highway 29 North residence was burglarized between 10:30am and 2pm on May 7.  Jewelry valued at $5,000 was stolen.

A 40-year-old woman reported that someone entered her Ramble Hills Drive residence through a rear bedroom window. Nothing could be determined to be missing.

A man returned home to find a front window of his Laurel Drive residence open. There were pry marks along the edge of the window. Entry had not been made into the residence.
