Crime Blotter--drugs and thefts

Members of the Drug Task Force assisted uniform patrol with an incident at 255 Clover Street on March 19. A quantity of crystal methamphetamine and marijuana were recovered from a vehicle search. During a search of the residence, additional crystal methamphetamine as well as digital scales and distribution paraphernalia were seized.  A vehicle was also seized. Arrested and charged as indicated were:  James Quinton Lumpkin, Clover St – Possession of Methamphetamine and Simple Battery; Carrie Kasper, Wages Bridge Road, Nicholson – Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Methamphetamine; David Nix, Hunt Club – Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute; and Cartez Cook, Hayes Drive, Jefferson – Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.

Around 2pm on March 19, officers responded to the area of Westchester Drive and Chalfont Lane to a complaint of a juvenile shooting out a window of a school bus. Upon arrival, the bus driver said he saw a juvenile female point a BB gun at the bus. She shot at the window and fled on foot. A possible suspect was identified and the driver was transported to her residence.  He identified her as the offender and the 15-year old was taken into custody and charged with Terroristic Threats and Interference with Government Property. The Department of Juvenile Justice was contacted and they advised to release her to her mother. The driver, who was the only person on the bus, was not injured.

An attempt was made to enter a Danielsville Road residence between 12 noon and 2:30pm on  March 19.  

A woman reported that her Rivercliff Drive residence was burglarized between 9:40am  and 3:40pm on March 19. Jewelry, a laptop, and cash were stolen.  The total value was $3,800.

Between 5pm on March 16 and 12 noon on March 19 a laptop valued at $1,300 was stolen from an office at Agents Markting Group, 1374 S Milledge Avenue. 

An air conditioner unit valued at $3,000 was stolen from a Massey Lane residence owned by a woman who lives on Lawton Lane. The theft occurred between 12 noon on March 5 and 4:15pm on  March 19.  

Copper wire and an air conditioner unit were stolen from the former Armstrong and Dobbs, 315 Oconee St, between 8am on  February 1 and 9:20pm on March 19.  The total value was $2,010
