Crime Blotter--drugs, burglary and sticky fingers

A 43-year-old man who lives on Rocksprings Court., agreed to meet with a subject in the area of Henderson Ext. and Collins Ave. to purchase drugs. When they met, the man showed his money to the other person. When he did, the person produced a small-caliber handgun and told the man that he wanted all of his money. He then handed the handgun to a second subject, who also had a knife, and told him to get the money. After the two took his money, the man was able to escape. The man was able to provide a description of the two suspects.

A 30=year-old man from Springtree Road reported that at around 3:30 a.m., January 21, he went to a location on Magnolia Street to visit a friend. As he approached the residence, he said three black males approached him and one of them pointed a rifle at him and instructed him to get on the ground. While they held him at gunpoint, they went through his clothing and took his I-Phone and a Canon digital camera. They then went into his car and stole the in-car stereo and a pair of Versacci sunglasses. After the robbery, the victim then went to a local business and called police.

A 35-year-old woman was in her Nassau Lane residence when she heard two loud noises. When she went to investigate, she saw two subjects leaving her residence and running towards Rolling Ridge Apartments. Responding officers made contact with one of the suspects at the corner of Kathwood Drive and Newton Bridge Road. Investigation revealed that the suspect, a 14-year old male, was in possession of items that had been taken in an earlier burglary in the same area. He was charged with Burglary and Theft By receiving Stolen Property. The second suspect, a 16-year old male, was identified and he was contacted at his residence. Charges are pending against the second suspect.

A Shadybrook Drive residence of a 78-year-old woman was entered through a forced-open crawl space door. Two televisions and a VDV player were stolen.

ACCPD discovered an open door at a Club Drive residence of an older woman. It has not been determined what, if anything has been taken. Evidence was obtained at the scene that could possibly connect this burglary to the two suspects apprehended in other cases.

The Westchester Drive residence of an 18=year-old woman was entered through a pried-open rear door and a television, X-Box 360 Game Console and a pair of Nike Jordan shoes were stolen.

A Spring Valley Road residence in Hallmark Mobile Home Park was entered through a front window and a television was stolen.

A 39-year-old maneturned home to find the door of his West Broad Street, The Park on West Broad, ajar. The residence had been entered and a Mac Book laptop computer and a television had been taken.

An unlocked vehicle was entered and a purse was taken. The purse was recovered in a neighbor’s yard and returned to the victim.

A resident of Nona Drive reported that an air conditioning unit valued at $1,500.00 was stolen from a residence on Highland Park Drive.
