Crime Blotter--drugs, robbing and stealing

On March 27 members of the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 132 Ramble Hills Circle. Marijuana plants, marijuana, powder cocaine, assorted indoor growing equipment, cash, and a vehicle were seized. George Staley was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute.  Kareen Staley was also arrested and charged with Manufacturing Marijuana.  The Drug Task Force also executed a search warrant at 177 Highland Park Drive  related to the aforementioned search. A quantity of marijuana and DVD duplicating equipment along with approximately 200 counterfeit movies were seized. Charges are pending on subjects related to this case,

Around midnight on March 28 officers responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred at an Anderson Street residence.  A man said he and a friend were on the front porch when an unknown black male approached.  He asked where Dublin Street was and when given the location, he turned as if to walk away.  The suspect quickly turned back around and pointed a gun at the resident.  The suspect told him to “give me everything you got.”  The resident told him he didn’t have anything but the suspect demanded his wallet and cell phone.  When the resident complied, the suspect then turned to the friend.  When the friend told him he did not have anything, the suspect grabbed him and shoved the gun closer to him.  The suspect then turned and walked away.  He was described as 19 to 24 years of age, around 5’10”, no facial hair, wearing black clothing.

A man reported that his Spring Valley Road residence was burglarized between 8pm on  March 26 and 7:15am on March 27.  A game system and TV were stolen.  The total value was $1,010.  

Between 12 noon on March 23 and 11 am on March 27 a vacant Sarah Drive residence was burglarized.  Boxes were rummaged through but nothing is known missing at this time.  This is the property of a resident of Hull Road.

A Tall Tree Road residence was burglarized between 8am and 6pm on March 27.  Rifles, a hand gun, jewelry, an iPad, and camera were stolen.  The total value was $2,520.  

A man reported that his West Broad Street residence was burglarized between 2:30pm on  March 27 and 1:15am on March 28.  A TV, video game systems, dishes, and jewelry were stolen.  The total value was $2,103.  

On March 27 A resident Davie, FL, reported that his vehicle was entered between 10pm on March 23 and 10an on March 24 while parked at a West Broad Street location.  An iPad, backpack, clothing, and jewelry with a total value of $1,380 were stolen
