Members of the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 205 Rocksprings Homes on May 1. A quantity of marijuana and digital scales were seized. Eddie Bolton was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute within 1’000’ of Public Housing.
A resident of Tallassee Road was headed south on Tallassee Road in a 2005 Yamaha Chappy. Near the Whitehead Road intersection, she became distracted when the vehicle started to run out of gas. The vehicle went off the right side of the road into a ditch. The vehicle flipped over ejecting the driver and her passenger, also of Tallassee Rd. Both women were transported to Athens Regional Medical Center. No citations were issued in this accident which occurred around 12:05pm on May 1.

Around 7:40pm on May 1, James Locklin Bray, II, Rutledge, driving a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado, was east bound on Lexington Road. Near the Old Lexington Road intersection his vehicle traveled into the east bound lane and struck a 1994 Lexus LS400 driven by a woman from Washington, Georgia. She was ejected from the vehicle. Her passenger and she, another Washington resident, were transported to Athens Regional Medical Center. Bray, 22, was arrested and charged with DUI – Drugs/Inhalants and Failure to Maintain Lane/Improper Driving on Roadway. The Washington woman was cited for not wearing her seat belt.
Officers responded to an assault that occurred at a Cleveland Ave home when three men arrived there. The resident asked them to leave. An argument ensured and one man hit the resident in the head with a broken beer bottle. Another man sustained an injury to his head and was transported to Athens Regional Medical Center. While the officer talked with the guy with the head wound at the hospital, the officer was notified that another man who had been at the residence had been brought to the emergency room with a stab wound. No further information was provided on the man’s injury. The investigation continues. This occurred around 5:30pm on May 1

A woman reported that her Sayemore Drive residence was burglarized between 7:30pm on April 30 and 7:10am on May 1. A book bag and household products valued at $53 were stolen.
A Gaines School Road residence was burglarized between 3pm and 6pm on May 1. A video game system valued at $150 was stolen.
A woman from Marietta reported that a purse and a laptop, valued at $1,500, were stolen from a vehicle parked at a Barnett Shoals Road location between 9pm and 9:30pm on April 30. This was reported on May 1.
