Crime Blotter--more stealing, as usual

A man told police that people he didn’t know entered his Deer Creek residence on August 25, 2012. Entry was possibly made through an open window. Suspects stole 3 TVs, 2 video game systems and a Ruger semi-automatic pistol. Total value of items taken is $3,800.

A man reported that rental property on Langford Court was burglarized between August 10th and August 24th. Suspects stole the refrigerator, oven, dryer, dishwasher and HVAC unit from the duplex. 

Officers responded to a burglary in progress at Green Acres Baptist Church on August 24. Officers were given a suspect description and observed the offender exiting the church. The offender was detained and officers learned that the offender was a juvenile. The Department of Juvenile Justice was contacted; the juvenile admitted that this was the second time he had broken into this church. The Department of Juvenile Justice released the juvenile to his mother. 

A woman reported her College Ave residence was burglarized on August 24 between 3pm and 9pm. Suspects took a TV and a Kindle E reader.

Officers on patrol noticed a broken window at the Tire Depot on Oak Street at 2:50am on August 25th. Officers were unable to make contact with the business owner, it is not known if anything was taken.

On August 25th officers responded to an open door at a Town View residence. Officers found that the front door had been forced open. Officers were unable to make contact with the resident to determine if anything were missing.

A man said his Northview residence was burglarized on August 25th between 3:30am and 3:50am. There were no signs of forced entry. Cowan said his laptop was taken; Cowan valued the laptop at $850.

A woman reported her Milledge Avenue Extension residence was burglarized between 10pm on August 24 and 3am on August 25th. There were no signs of forced entry. Baughman said a laptop and TV were taken, total value was $1,300.


A woman said her 2002 Volkswagen was entered while parked on MLK around 3am on August 24th. Braver said her purse was stolen along with a wallet, jewelry and misc items. 

A man reported that an A/C unit was taken from a rental home on Burkland Drive, but he could not provide a time frame for the incident.

A man said an unknown person stole the HVAC from outside his rental unit on Park Ridge Drive. He said the incident occurred between August 22nd and August 24th.
