Crime Blotter--target of armed robbery shoots suspect

Officers responded to an armed robbery at Classic Cash on West Broad Street at 8:50am on June 9. They met with employees and discovered one male subject who had been shot. The primary investigation indicates the male subject had threatened one of the employees with a firearm. The employee returned fire with his own firearm striking the subject. The subject was transported to the hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

Someone entered a vehicle in the area of Sleepy Creek Drive and took a wallet containing credit cards. One credit card was used at several locations prior to it being blocked. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the wallet sitting on the seat.

A truck parked at Welch Place Apartments had the passenger window broken during the night and a backpack was removed from the seat. The backpack contained a white Apple Mac book Laptop.
