Crime Blotter: Sticky Fingers During Holidays in Athens, Ga.

A construction trailer owned by ETL Construction, no address listed, at a South Milledge Avenue site was burglarized between 2pm on November 22 and 5am on November 23. A Winder man reported that a laptop valued at $1,000 was stolen.
A Fifth St residence was burglarized between 8am on November 21 and 1pm on November 23. TVs and a video game system were stolen. The total value was unknown.
A woman reported that her East Cloverhurst Avenue residence was burglarized between 12 noon on November 18 and 4pm on November 23. A TV valued at $150 was stolen. Β
While investigating the aforementioned burglary, the officer discovered another burglary at nearby apartment. When the residents returned home, they said that TVs and a video game system had been stolen. The total value was $1,450.

Between midnight on November 19 and 6:30pm on November 23 a Northside Drive residence was burglarized. Video game consoles and an electric guitar were stolen. The total value was $850.
A resident reported that her Melbourne Place residence was burglarized between 6pm on November 20 and 3pm on November 23. A TV and an iPad were stolen. The total value was $800.
An officer responded to Tee Lane complaint of a lap top bag in the woods near the road. He located the owners name in the bag. He went to the residence and met with a resident on Howard Drive. She identified the bag as hers and determined her unlocked vehicle had been entered between 8am and 1:40pm on November 23. A lap top valued at $1,200 was stolen from the computer bag.
