From Church's Chicken To Chase Street To Jail

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

Officers met with a man at his Derby Street residence. He told them he pulled in the parking lot of Church’s Chicken on Oak St and exited his vehicle. He was approached by subjects known to him, all of them holding guns and one who told him that he was going to kill him.

The Derby Street resident said he fled on foot. The suspect left in his vehicle. A lookout was issued for the vehicle and officers had contact with it as it exited the 10 Loop onto Chase St a short time later.

While waiting for backup, the officers followed it to a Newton Bridge Road convenience store. As the two occupants exited, officers made contact with them. The driver fled on foot into a bamboo thicket and was not apprehended. The passenger, Safaris Jacoby Hinton, was arrested.
