Using a third party telephone, a man incarcerated for allegedly assaulting a woman has continued to harass and threaten her from jail, the woman says.

According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, Kareem Bernard Thompson, 27, of Hull, has continued to call the woman. He was arrested in late July and charged with aggravated assault, battery, criminal trespass, theft by taking and obstruction of a 911 call.

Thompson is being held in the Clarke County Jail and has a $10,000 bond. The woman whose beating landed him in jail has told police that she feared for her safety if Thompson is released, according to the Banner Herald.

Last week, He was arrested because he tried to stab the woman with a butcher knife, tried to strangle her, punched her and then pushed her to the floor, the newspaper story says.
