Major Appliances Stolen from Empty Apartment

Several major appliances, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and hot water heater, were reported stolen from an empty apartment Thursday, according to an Athens-Clarke County Police report.
Police responded to the residence on the 600 block of Massey Lane, where a representative from Kelly Realty told the officer that a stove, A/C unit, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and furnace were in an apartment that was supposed to be vacant. 
Also in the apartment were a TV, blanket and other signs that someone had been living there. Police found an extension cord running from that apartment to an adjacent vacant apartment. 
The investigation is ongoing.
