An Athens-Clarke County Parking Services employee was hit Wednesday while issuing a man a ticket, according to an Athens-Clarke County Police report.
The employee told police that she was behind a white Toyota issuing a ticket when the driver got in, cranked the car up and started to back up. She told the driver she was issuing at citation and for him to wait, but the man said he had to get to work and backed into her, striking her leg.
The man continued to back up, pushing her back with the truck until he could drive forward, and then left. A witness nearby corraborated the story.
The suspect was described as a white man in his mid 20s and about six feet tall. Parking Services reported that the vehicle owes more than $700 in unpaid parking tickets at the present time.
