Man Confesses to Smoking Marijuana, Arrested for Pill in Wrong Container

A man was arrested Monday for possession of schedule II drugs and drugs out of original container after confessing to smoking marijuana, according to an report.

Police stopped a vehicle after the driver ran a red light on E. Broad Street near First Street. When police approached Antonio Rolland, 33, the officer reported the smell of marijuana coming from the passenger part of the vehicle.

Rolland told police that he had just finished smoking with a friend, but that there was no dope in the car. A search found there was no contraband on Rolland.

When police began searching the car, they found a small plastic container with a white pill inside, which was identified as a schedule II narcotic.

Rolland told police that he had a perscription for the medication several years before. He was transported to Clarke County Jail and charged with possession of a schedule II drug and drugs not in original container.
