Man Stabbed, Houses Burglarized, Equipment Stolen

A man told ACC police on August 9th that he was stabbed by someone he knows while he was at his Vine Street residence. The man told the reporting officer that the assault occurred at an unknown time on 8/8/13. The man, who had a cut on his wrist, appeared highly intoxicated and could not provide much information about the incident. A suspect was named in the report. The injured man was transported by EMS for treatment. This incident is under investigation.

A woman reported that her Bentwood Drive home was burglarized between 7:45am and 1:30pm on August 9th. She said this was the second burglary at her home this year. Two flat screen TVs were taken and suspects rummaged through personal belongings. The value of stolen items is $900. 

A woman reported that her Michelle Drive residence was burglarized between 9am on August 7th and 12 noon on August 9th. She said the suspect stole a video game system, food stuffs and a duffel bag. She stated that she had let a white man stay at her residence recently but told him he had to leave when she went to the hospital. The suspect was named in the report. The value of the stolen items is $245.

A woman reported that her Riverbend Parkway residence was burglarized between 7:30pm and 10:50pm on August 9th.  She said her front door was kicked in and an Apple iPod and a notebook computer were taken.  

Officers responded to a burglary at 425 Riverbend Pkwy. The door to a vacant unit was kicked in, nothing was taken. The incident occurred between 7pm and 10pm on August 9th.

 An Athens Clarke County employee reported that someone stole a Stihl trimmer and Cobalt air compressor from Leisure Service’s garage on Pound Street The date of the theft was not known at the time the report was taken. The value of stolen items totals $600.
